Rock, Funk and Jazz Sax Master. Experienced Educator and Band Leader.

Armen Boyd is a professional Saxophonist with over 25 years of teaching experience. In addition to teaching private lessons, Armen directs the Jazz Combo at College Park High School. As a professional Saxophonist for 30 years, Armen Boyd has become known in the bay area scene with extensive experience in Rock, Funk, Rhythm & Blues, Jazz, Latin and Soul music. He is a Graduate of SFSU in Sound Recording Music Production and has been a Studio Musician on many Local/Indie CD releases. Armen currently performs with Big Bang Beat, the Ultimate Party Machine, and Butch Whacks and the Glass Packs, Oldies Rock & Roll Review. Both groups has been performing for decades. He also performs regularly with Full Tilt Woogie, the San Francisco Sound, and Blind Lemon Phillips, Urban Funky Rhythm & Blues. Armen has studied music with Frank Sumares, Bennett Friedman, Jim Grantham, Hal Stein, Art Dourghty and John Maltester. |
